What gets deleted
When an account deletion request is approved, we delete:
- Your TapTrap account information
- Your Google sign-in / account association, where applicable
- The internal user identifier associated with your account
- Gameplay and profile information associated with your account
- High scores
- Game statistics
- Owned cosmetics and inventory associated with your account
- Leaderboard information associated with your account, where technically possible
- Other personal data associated with your account
What may be retained, and why
Some information may need to be retained where legally required, such as:
- Purchase and accounting records
- Security and fraud-prevention records
- Information required to comply with legal obligations
Retained information is kept only for the applicable required retention period and is not retained for ordinary account use.
Processing time
Account deletion requests are processed as soon as reasonably possible. Some legally required records may be retained for the applicable retention period.
Delete from inside the app
TapTrap users can also request account deletion from within the TapTrap app through Settings → Delete Account. That flow deletes the signed-in account immediately after confirmation, because you are already authenticated.
